As Hippocrates stated in 460-c. 370 BC "all disease begins in the gut"
Therefore, it is important to recognise that "good health also begins in the gut" but only when and if the microbiome conditions are right. These two statements guide our support and coaching role at Cultured in the RAW The role of the microbiome in gut and overall health: According to Dr Axe (https://draxe.com/microbiome) 'each of us has an internal complex ecosystem of bacteria located within our bodies that is called the microbiome. The vast majority of the bacterial species that make up the microbiome live in our digestive systems. Poor gut health can and will contribute to many diseases and disorders including arthritis, dementia, heart disease, cancer and much more. Therefore it is important to recognise good health, fertility and longevity are reliant on the 'balance' or conditions with in the microbiome. The first step: A comprehensive assessment is the first step to improving health and well-being at Cultured in the RAW. The causes and triggers contributing to poor health and well-being must be identified, and removed before healing can begin. Once this work is done, specific healing foods and 'other action' can be taken to repair the damage, repopulate the gut and help the body to function normally without disease and illness. Without identifying, removing, and repopulating the gut, health problems will continue and the healing will not begin. In other words the 'cause' must be 'identified and removed' instead of continuing to treat the 'symptoms and signs' the body gives when out of balance. In addition, there is little point introducing a range of fermented foods, beverages, and preferred diet and lifestyle options if the causes and triggers are not first identified and removed first. Frequently, people register for fermented foods and other nutrition classes to learn about specific healing foods to add to their diet without addressing the 1st step i.e. remove and address the cause or triggers that contribute to poor health and well-being outcomes. Once this assessment has been thoroughly completed and addressed the preferred dietary lifestyle to suits varying tastes, budgets and health conditions can be introduced (see long list of options below) . In other words, Cultured in the RAW does not offer any 'one size that fits all nutrition' and coaching support program. Instead at Cultured in the RAW we offer a range of supports and services tailored to suit the needs, health status, preferences and tastes of individuals Select your specific health coaching topics or question of interest?
